One of Life Church’s principle activities is its mid-week small groups which we call Life Groups. They aim to be friendly, informative and encouraging and are held in member’s homes and concentrate on relationships, encouragement and discipleship. In a church of many members it is possible to get to know many people, but in practice each individual can only have a few special friends that they can share their lives and build lasting friendships. Life Groups therefore become a place where we can share together, as friends, in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality.
There are currently a number Life Groups including one especially for younger people who meet on a Monday evening. The other Life Groups meet on a regular basis on Tuesday or Thursday evening each week and one group meets during the daytime. They vary in size from around 6 members up to 17. On one Thursday each month all Life Groups meet together for a time of praise, worship and ministry.
Membership of a Life Group is considered to be a vital part of church membership. Being in relationship with other Christians is vital to our spiritual health and growth and encourages us to share our faith with the wider community. If you are not yet involved in a Life Group we would urge you to make time for this in your life.
Life Groups are a great way to get involved, meet new people and grow in faith. If you would like to be involved with a Life Group then please contact the Office who will point you in the right direction.
